Class Levels

Niveau Débutant 1

This course serves as a bienvenue (welcome) to the French language. Through this course you will discover the beauty of the French language and cover the basics, such as introducing yourself and others (Bonjour, je m’appelle Jean), spelling and counting (un, deux, trois...), and general greetings and politeness (salut, s’il vous plaît, merci beaucoup). This course is designed for complete beginners of French, and no prior knowledge is necessary.

The lesson runs for 1 hour. When you feel ready, you are also encouraged to join the petites conversation class providing you with an opportunity to speak and interact in French in a fun, supportive, and friendly environment.

Niveau Débutant 2

If you have had some prior learning in French, the intermediate class is the level for you. You will learn to use different tenses so you can talk about events or activities in the past and the future. You will acquire more vocabulary on basic topics and develop your listening and speaking skills so that you are able to hold a conversation about subjects you are familiar with.

The lesson runs for 1 hour. You are also encouraged to join the petites conversation class where you will have the opportunity to speak and interact in French in a fun, supportive, and friendly environment.

Niveau Intermédiare

If you have already studied the present and the past tenses (imparfait/passé composé) and want to take your French language skills to the next level, you can join the advanced class. You will continue to extend your knowledge of French grammar and learn how to express your opinion about different subjects and take part in class discussions.

The lesson runs for 1.5 hours. You are also encouraged to join the niveau intermédiare conversation class where you will have the opportunity to speak and interact in French in a supportive, small group environment.
